Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Engineering Manager to lead our client’s multidisciplinary Engineering team in the Cold Products division. As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for achieving our business objectives in Safety, Operational Excellence, Asset Management, Costs, and Human Resource Development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Risk management standards, applying best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Enforce Engineering standards and implement asset management best practices to optimize the value of our assets.
  • Drive Operational Excellence, focusing on availability, reliability, capability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Optimize costs by effectively managing the life cycle cost of assets.
  • Develop a high-performing team with a proactive and innovative mindset, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive improvements in equipment, systems, and people performance.
  • Forecast and plan for the future, including resource allocation, technology advancements, and equipment obsolescence.

 

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. (Non-Negotiable)
  • Government Certificate of Competency - Factories, with at least 5 years of experience as GMR2.
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience in heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong people management, team building, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and functions.
  • Outcome-driven mindset with a focus on achieving objectives in Safety, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and cost management.
  • Sound understanding of asset management practices and systems.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, capable of making tough decisions under pressure.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in capital project implementation and management.
