Our client, a market leader in the Financial Services sector, is looking for a Senior Paraplanner, based on Cape Town
The main purpose of this role is to provide key support to a Financial Planner through professional, in-depth research and preparation of best practice solutions for client wealth creation and holistic financial well-being
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Records of Advice for both Local and Offshore Investments and Long-Term Assurance
- Preparation of Financial Plans (Death, Disability, Retirement and Estate)
- Investment Portfolio and underlying Fund Investigations and formulating of ideas for recommendations
- Client portfolio investigations (both investment and risk products)
- Keeping abreast of the changing tax and legal environment
- Investigation of new opportunities in an ever-changing environment
- Assist administrators, clients and financial planners with more technical tasks and relevant queries that require investigations or detailed calculations
- Client communication and follow-up regarding all areas of the Paraplanners responsibility
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning
- FPI Competency Exam
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Financial Planning
- Broad knowledge of global financial markets advantageous
Knowledge and Skills:
- Detailed and accurate
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent administrative, research, report writing and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills with a preference for working in a structured, planned manner
- Team player
- Excellent inter-personal skills, both written and verbal
