Ntice is recruiting for an experienced Head of Digital Technology to take charge of the digitization journey for a complex organization operating within a highly regulated financial services environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management:Lead and inspire a high-performing technical team. The team is highly technical madeup of: Front-End, Back-End, Full-Stack Developers,UI/UX ,API Mobile Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, DevopsEngineers, Performance Engineer, Network Engineers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters , Cyber Security, QA, DBA and Product Owners
  • Strategic IT Oversight:Manage annual budgets exceeding R100 million. Oversee digitization of services, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions and products that meet business objectives
  • Service Reliability:Take direct responsibility for service continuity. When a critical service goes down, your team leads the charge to restore functionality
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with Heads of Business Units across the group, effectively communicating and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals. Provide regular updates to EXCO
  • Analytical Leadership:Anticipate potential project risks and identify the broader impact across the business. Apply a highly analytical mindset to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Public Speaking & Advocacy:Represent the organization as a confident public speaker, articulating the company's technology vision and strategic priorities

 

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • You will hold an IT certification or degreecoupled with 10+ years of leadershipexperience within IT, specifically within large corporate environments in the financial services sector
  • You will have a track record in software developmentand then made a move into management, where your focus has moved onto the leading and steering of technical teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing large teams, resource allocation and be directlyresponsible for multiple projects with substantial budgets
  • Deep understanding of the digitization processes,online product creation, moving services online andIT systems architecture
  • Strong experience engaging with C-level executives and cross-functional business unitsleaders
