Our client, market leader in the South African Roadside Assistance Services, is currently recruiting a permanent position for a Multimedia Senior Specialist, based in Gauteng.

The Automobile Association of South Africa (AA) is looking for a dynamic and creative Multimedia Senior Specialist to lead the production of engaging multimedia content that enhances our brand, supports campaigns, and drives audience engagement. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of video production, podcast creation, and graphic design, ensuring that all content is high-quality, brand-aligned, and tailored to our audiences across various platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Video Production:

  • Conceptualise, script, shoot, and edit video content for marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and educational purposes.
  • Manage pre-production, on-site production, and post-production processes.
  • Maintain and manage video equipment, ensuring quality output and safe handling.
  • Prepare all supplies and equipment required for shoots/events (i.e., set-up and install microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras to ensure recordings/events run smoothly)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver compelling brand and product narratives through video.
  • Create motion graphics, animations, and video content for marketing and communication needs.
  • Clean and maintain the Studio area according to established safety ordinances and documented standards
  • Conduct video research to support projects including selecting the best footage and soundbites for each shoot/event

Podcast Production:

  • Develop and produce AA's podcast series, work with Communications team to finalise scripting, recording, editing, and publishing.
  • Manage all technical aspects of podcast production including sound design, mixing, and mastering.
  • Work with Communications team to coordinate guest interviews
  • Manage production schedules and promotional strategies.
  • Distribute episodes across podcast platforms and integrate into broader marketing campaigns.

Graphic Design:

  • Design visual content for digital and print use, including social media posts, web assets, brochures, infographics, product packaging, corporate branding materials and presentations.
  • Develop concepts, layouts, and sample designs based on design principles and brand guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency in branding and visual identity across all platforms and content types.
  • Support internal departments with ad-hoc design requests and templates.

Content Strategy & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute multimedia content aligned with campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of design work.
  • Participate in brainstorming and creative sessions.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from concept through execution.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing, copywriters, and external vendors to ensure cohesive messaging and delivery.
  • Stay up to date with trends in multimedia content, digital storytelling, and design, including saving and storing recorded and design assets

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Film/Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar multimedia production role.
  • Proven experience with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with audio editing tools (e.g. Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar) for podcast production.
  • Solid understanding of multimedia storytelling across digital channels.
  • Knowledge of social media video formats and best practices.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of multimedia work.
