Job Description

A leading national wholesale distributor is seeking a dynamic, experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow major national retail customers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment, loves building strong customer relationships, and is passionate about sales growth, strategy execution, and excellent account management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing key national retail accounts, ensuring sales and GP targets are met.

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.

  • Conducting regular customer meetings and national store visits.

  • Driving category growth, promotions, and new product listings.

  • Managing forecasting, planning, stock availability, and promotional execution.

  • Preparing accurate monthly reporting, forecasts, and planning documents.

  • Participating in bi-annual range reviews and showrooms.

  • Identifying and securing new major retail business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Key Account Management or Sales.

  • FMCG or Wholesale/General Merchandise experience is highly advantageous.

  • Experience managing national retail chains.

  • Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable).

  • Strong communication, planning, forecasting, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
