Job Description
A leading organisation within the logistics and distribution sector is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Reconciliation Controller for a contract opportunity based in Midrand.
This role would suit a hands-on finance professional with strong reconciliation and accounting experience who is confident working in a high-volume environment and meeting strict month-end deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
- Perform bank, payroll, debtors and inter-company reconciliations
- Investigate, follow up and resolve reconciliation queries and variances
- Prepare monthly consolidated bank reconciliations
- Perform inter-company balancing checks
- Process journals and payroll-related payments
- Raise and follow up on month-end accruals
- Assist with treasury and cash management functions
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of reconciliations and payments
- Resolve outstanding items and ensure financial records remain accurate
Requirements
- Matric
- Accounting-related tertiary qualification
- Minimum 1-year relevant accounting/reconciliation experience
- Strong balance sheet and reconciliation experience
- Experience with month-end accounting processes
- SAP R/3 experience advantageous
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Assertive, deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
