Job Description

A growing hardware and building materials retail group is seeking a creative, results-driven E-commerce & Digital Marketing Coordinator for a permanent position based in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands digital marketing, enjoys creating engaging content and has a strong commercial focus, The successful candidate Will be responsible for grmving our online presence and sales, strengthening customer engagement, managing digital platforms and supporting marketing activities across the group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

eCommerce & Online Sales

• Maintain and manage the company website and online store.
• upload and maintain products, prices, descriptions, images and promotional offers. Coordinate online orders, payments, stock availability, deliveries and customer collections.
• Monitor online enquiries and ensure customers receive professional and timely responses.
• Identify opportunities to increase online sales and improve the customer shopping experience.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

• Coordinate digital promotions across all stores.
• Produce digital catalogues, newsletters and in-store promotional material
• Manage the company's social media platforms and relevant digital channels.
• Create photographs, videos, adverts, promotional posts and Other digital content. Develop and maintain a monthly digital marketing and promotional calendar.

Customer Engagement

• Manage and grow the company's customer database
• Send promotional communications via email, SMS and WhatsApp, subject to customer consent and POPIA requirements.
• Respond professionally to online comments, reviews, enquiries and customer complaints.

Marketing Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with Store Managers, Buyers and Suppliers to Obtain accurate product and promotional information.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns and ensure consistent implementation across stores.
• Monitor online sales, customer engagement, advertising performance and loyalty programme results.
• Prepare and submit a concise monthly digital marketing and performance report to management.
• Take accountability for measurable results, including online sales, loyalty membership, repeat purchases, customer enquiries and Store visits.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience in e-commerce and digital marketing.
• Experience in retail marketing and/or managing loyalty programmes or customer databases.
• Strong social media management and content-creation skills.
• Graphic design and short-form video creation skills.
• Knowledge of Shopify, WooCommerce Or a similar e-commerce platform.
• Experience with Meta Business Suite and Google advertising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret digital and sales performance information.
• An understanding of POPIA and responsible customerzdata management.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between stores will be advantageous. Previous retail or hardware-industry experience will be advantageous, but is not essential.
