Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform shaft maintenance and timbering tasks to ensure the safety and stability of underground operations
- Conduct inspections and identify potential hazards or structural weaknesses
- Assemble, install, and repair shaft timber and other structural supports
- Safely operate tools and equipment in alignment with company and industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe working environment
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years underground experience
- Proven experience as a Shaft Timberman or similar role in an underground mining environment
- Blasting Certificate and Onsetter's Certificate
- Strong understanding of mining safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under challenging conditions
- Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces
