A Mining house based in the Limpopo region is looking for a Safety Officer for a Fixed Term Contract position.

Duties:

The Role is responsible for the development, implementation and management of safety and risk control programs, as well as ensuring legal compliance and provision of a safety advisory and reporting service to the Operational Unit or Area.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5 Years' experience in the processing and/or mining, engineering and construction environment.
• Risk Assessment Techniques.
• Safety Inspections and Auditing.
• Train-the Trainer
• Incident Investigation
• Planning and Observation
• In-depth knowledge of all relevant SHE legislation
• Computer literate (MS Power point, Word, Excel, Access and Projects)
• Presentation / Facilitation/ Training
• COMSOC 1&2
• SAMTRAC
• National Safety Diploma would be advantageous.
