Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or BSc in Mechanical Engineering/or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and projects in FMCG manufacturing plants.
  • Training and practical experience in planned and predictive maintenance principles, with at least three years of management experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Projects, Visio, and Autocad.
  • Knowledge of OHS Act, BCEA, and other legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to equipment design, construction, modification, and maintenance.
  • Establish standards for installation, quality control, testing, and inspection according to engineering best practices and safety regulations.
  • Select and confirm engineering vendors/contractors' capability and qualifications for specified work.
  • Deliver capital and maintenance projects within budget and timeline constraints.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience with heavy and light, high and low-speed, rotating and stationary equipment, auxiliary and associated equipment.
  • Ability to read and develop mechanical, electrical, and PID drawings.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CMMS, and MRO systems.
