Our client, a leading mining conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and motivated Change and Administrative Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to manage the change management process for technology projects, while supporting the Technology Services Regional Team in their administrative functions

Role Overview:

As the Change and Administrative Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating the change management process in technology projects, programs, and tools in accordance with Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodologies. Your primary focus will be to maximize ROI through human capital and ensure smooth transitions during technological changes across the Africa region

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management Strategy: Design and implement change management strategies for technology programs, projects, and occasionally corporate initiatives
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops for relevant stakeholders including employees, managers, suppliers, and contractors as per the project or program requirements
  • Communication & Training: Implement the Communications Plan and Roadmap for Management. Develop, review, and approve training materials for technology projects and the Technology area
  • Project Management Support: Manage and coordinate all phases of change according to the technology programs' schedules, ensuring smooth integration and adoption
  • Training & Development: Coordinate the Annual Training Plan for employees in the Africa region, including needs assessments and planning
  • Digital Transformation Program: Design and coordinate the implementation of the Digital Transformation Program
  • Collaboration with Corporate Offices: Work closely with the corporate offices (China and Australia) to align local technology changes with global objectives
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate existing technologies and recommend improvements to ensure project success
  • Ensure Adoption: Ensure the successful adoption of new processes and technologies by supporting stakeholders throughout the transition
  • Strengthen Relationships: Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of assigned projects
  • Support for Technology Services Team: Assist with administrative tasks such as travel arrangements and general office administration for the Africa Regional Technology Services team

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Change Practitioner (preferred)
    • ITIL 4.0 (required)

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in change management, administration, or similar roles. Experience in the mining industry is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge:
    • Change Management principles and methodologies
    • Familiarity with project management tools and phases
    • Experience in large-scale technology projects
    • Human resource management
    • Strategic communication and office administration
