As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, throughput, and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Determining product characteristics based on customer or specification requirements.
  • Developing process parameters to meet these requirements.
  • Setting standards for product realization, including rules and procedures.
  • Monitoring product and process quality and throughput.
  • Setting up process parameters for new products.
  • Making disposition decisions on non-conforming products.
  • Implementing business systems to support process optimization.
  • Training metallurgical Engineers in Training (EITs).
  • Solving technical, system, and metallurgical problems.
  • Collaborating closely with production for day-to-day support.
  • Recommending solutions to process-related issues.
  • Conducting process optimization and quality investigations.
  • Monitoring process performance and managing non-conformances.

 

Requirements:

  • BSc or B Eng. in Metallurgy, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-5 years of experience in metallurgical or related engineering fields.
  • Knowledge of steel/stainless steel products and/or smelting/refining of other materials.
  • Experience in heavy/large manufacturing processes (e.g., pyro-metallurgy, casting, hot rolling/forming).
  • Proficiency in quality assurance and control.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Experience with POLC (Plan, Organize, Lead, Control) principles and QCDSM (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale) framework.
