Job Description
Due to continued business growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced marketing agency based in Umhlanga
This newly created position is ideal for a client-focused professional with a strong agency background who thrives on building lasting client relationships, leading projects, and identifying opportunities for account growth. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients while providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure exceptional service delivery
The role requires occasional travel to client sites both locally and nationally
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Deliver exceptional client service and ensure consistently high levels of client satisfaction
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to brief
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions
- Brief and coordinate internal creative, strategy, production, and digital teams
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and profitability
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and contribute to new business initiatives
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior team members where required
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure operational excellence and successful project delivery
- Travel to client sites locally and nationally as business requirements dictate
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in an advertising, branding, marketing, or creative agency environment
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts across a diverse portfolio
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and timelines
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
