Position Title: HR Lead - SAP S/4HANA Implementation 
Reporting To: SAP Project Lead / SAP Project Manager
Location: Rosebank
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract

The HR Lead is responsible for representing the business Human Resources function throughout the SAP S/4HANA transformation project. The role will ensure that all HR processes, organizational structures, master data, reporting requirements, integrations, and compliance needs are incorporated into the SAP solution while aligning with the Group-wide Global Design.

The HR Lead will act as the primary liaison between the project team, business stakeholders, Group HR, and the implementation partner to ensure that the local solution adheres to global standards while meeting operational and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

HR Process Leadership

• Lead all HR-related activities within the SAP S/4HANA implementation project.
• Represent the interests of the HR function during all project phases, including Validate & Design, Build, Test, Data Migration, Training, Cutover, and Hypercare.
• Ensure HR business processes are standardized, optimized, and aligned to SAP leading practices where appropriate.
• Drive fit-to-standard discussions and process harmonization across business units.

Alignment with Global Design Solution

• Work closely with Group HR and Global Process Owners to align local HR requirements with the approved Global Design Solution.
• Challenge customizations and local deviations that do not align with global standards.
• Facilitate the adoption of the Group SAP template and agreed global HR processes.
• Escalate gaps and deviations requiring Group governance decisions.
• Support global process harmonization and standardization initiatives.

Requirements & Solution Design

• Gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements from HR stakeholders.
• Ensure requirements are properly documented and translated into system functionality.
• Review and approve functional specifications and design documents.
• Participate in workshops to validate SAP processes against business requirements.

HR Master Data & Data Migration

• Provide ownership of HR master data requirements.
• Support data cleansing, validation, mapping, and migration activities.
• Ensure data quality standards are achieved prior to migration.
• Coordinate business sign-off of migrated HR data.

Integration Management

• Work with technical and functional teams to define HR-related integrations.
• Ensure integration requirements are understood for:
  • Finance
  • Payroll systems
  • Time and Attendance systems
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Learning and Talent Management systems
  • Third-party HR solutions

Testing Leadership

• Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies and plans for HR processes.
• Coordinate business testing resources.
• Review and approve test scenarios, scripts, and outcomes.
• Ensure defects are appropriately prioritized and resolved.

Change Management & Training

• Support organizational change management activities impacting HR teams.
• Assist in identifying change impacts and business readiness requirements.
• Review and validate training materials.
• Support end-user training and knowledge transfer initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key point of contact between the HR function and the SAP project.
• Engage management and functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive decision-making and issue resolution within the HR workstream.
• Provide regular updates to project leadership regarding risks, issues, and progress.

Risk & Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and governance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate HR-related project risks.
• Support audit and control requirements within the SAP solution design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) and/or SAP SuccessFactors experience advantageous.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience preferred.
• HR process management experience within a large or complex organisation.
• 8-10 years of HR functional experience.
• Experience participating in large ERP or SAP transformation projects.
• Experience working with global process owners and shared services environments.
• Experience managing HR data, reporting, compliance, and organizational structures.
• Mining, manufacturing, or industrial sector experience advantageous.
