Job Description
A Mining house based in the North West is looking for an experienced Winding Engine Driver.
Duties:
- Communicating any winding engine defects to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Coordinating winding activities in line with total process requirements.
- Compiling accurate shift reports.
- Escalating any abnormal operational problems to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Responding to standard hauling signals.
- Assisting during breakdowns or emergency situations.
- Assisting engineering employees with the maintenance of equipment in the winder area.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 3yrs experience as a Winding Engine Driver
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualifications
Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency
- Certification for double drum and friction winder duties - advantageous
